Halloween Discussion Forums, Costumes, Horror!

If you have any good or bad news about Halloween or anything like that, please post it here!

My Halloween spirit has gone. Just left without a trace.

But I read how one of us is having family illness and financial matters wiegh on them and I realize sometimes I should just shut up.

Then someone takes the time to wish me well and offer some support and I'm taken back by their kindness.

Say what you want but I'm glad for the good people here.

Doc, I had a similar thing recently. I was having what I thought was the worst day ever & then found that a friend of mine is in danger of being made homeless because she can't sell her house due to the horrible market & can't afford to stay there (I can't really help, since she's in CA & I'm in NJ, otherwise, I'd happily donate my living room & couch bed). And another friend's sister-in-law tried to commit suicide on Saturday & the family spent two days with her in the hospital.

That all makes my trial prep stress look like peanuts by comparison.

But the thing is, you can't compare. Your being down is no less valid or real because other people have it worse.

Anyway, the point of all that is it's good to get things in perspective, but don't pooh-pooh your own bad moods. Here's to hoping you pick up soon!
