I can understand remaking an old black and white movie, or a silent film, but I can't understand remaking a movie like Nightmare on Elm Street. There really isn't anything to improve upon. It's gonna be just like the Halloween or the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remakes; utterly pointless and worse than the original.

Ok, for your information.... if you do have TV On Demand, then you can check out the preview of "A Nightmare On Elm Street". I did watch it, and it did look cool - but not good. :?

I think this show is going to be more of a prequil then a remake. I also said that about the new "Friday the 13th," and it was just a remake, and a disappointing one at that. I would love to see a better development of the Freddy Krueger story, however.

Ok, I've changed my mind that me and my gf will go see this movie tonight.

So, if you want to continue to see remakes, keep paying $$ at the box office. If you want to see NEW ideas, support the NEW movies. ;)
