My mom is a store manager of a Big Lots! I got these cool gargoyles. (I think I spelled that right???) They are motion activated and have eyes that glow red. So cool! They open and close their wings. When open they have about a 4' wing span!!! I am going to make some sort of stands to put them on to greet my guests!!! Only $25 each!!
Yes, Big Lots is GREAT!
They will be full blown Halloween By the end of August.

And if Halloween went any thing like this years forth of July I cant wait cause this years was a ton better than last years. And last years was almost a low blow cause I couldn't watch any Halloween shows cause all you seen was the stupid election but now thank goodness no election. Hopefully more Halloween hits. And thank goodness for redbox just in case they still aren't on. No but I can't wait I am all orange and black this time of the year. Plus in September the big Halloween USA Store will open again for the season. I'm getting goosebumps already!!!!!!!

Watching a haunting on discovery channel is quite scary and intense. at first it was just nothing but usual ghost stories until i saw the program. oh wow. i won't watch it by myself ever again.

I watched a few episodes of "The Twilight Zone" during the 4th of July weekend, but for the most part, I wanted to light off fireworks. On the actual 4th, I went to my btothers place where we had a family party and fireworks display. It was a lot of fun and I can't wait til next year, BUT as some of you pointed out, it's time so start making the preperations for Halloween 2009. Of course I have a Birthday to celebrate, but that doesn't mean that I won't be on the look-out for scrap lumber for my Halloween bonfire, Halloween decorations and other Halloween items.

Shanda, can you post a pic of the gargoyles? I'll understand if you can't since it's a little early for them to be out in the store.

Hey Cryptkeeper! Long time no see. Glad to see you back in the forums. And that's a big 10-4 about planning for Halloween. In fact, tonight I am going to start looking for discarded lumber or furnature for my bonfire I'm going to have next October.

Yes, the presence of Halloween is slowly approaching, like a wolf in the night. getting closer and closer, striking fear into our hearts with his howl. I think Party City gets out the Halloween stuff the earliest, but then again I don't like Party City, always the same old costumes.

The Halloween decorations come out at the stores around here usualy in August. In fact, I'm hearing a few "back to school" advertisments on tv as well, so it won't be long before Halloween starts to peak around the corner a little.

Hi everyone!!! I am new to the board-- I cannot believe it is almost August. Another store that I found that is already putting out fall and Halloween stuff is Pat Catans. They sell the pumpkin spice candles year round, so I am constantly burning those in my house... But once it is heading towards the end of July, early August they become full blown Halloween.... I am so excited!! :alien:

For me, it all begins in August!!! When the kiddies go back to school, the weather cools a bit, high school football games are in full-swing, etc... Halloween season has begun!!! And that's when I crank up the horror movies in anticipation for the big day!!! :D
