CHRISTINE!!! Oh, you fiund her, you found her!!! That is a terrific car, and creepy looking, too. That was one of my all time favorite movies. right up there with "The Car" and "Race With the Devil." for Halloween car movies.

Thans for posting the memory and that picture. Beautiful Dodge, too. That is th perfect Halloween car.

Christine is an awesome car! That movie kind of scared me though. My dad and I were talking and saying it was too bad my old car didn't have Christines "regenerative" capabilities, but with a personality like Herbie from the Love Bug (Evil car is nice to watch in movies, but I wouldn't want one.) Although having a replica of Christine would be neat. My grandma has a toy model (still in the box) of the same make and model of the car, but I think it was a different color.

The car man facturers really built a unique product back in the 50s and 60s. That's not to say that there aren't some very nice cars made today, but I would love to have a 63 Mercury Park Lane Convertible, or a 58 Mercury Turnpike Cruiser Convertable.

NOW I have pictures of it. I took these on my phone. To protect my identity I blotched out the plate numbers. Here's what my car looks like guys!

That is in PRISTINE shape. And you paid around two grand for that? Just be sure to keep the oil changed on a regular basis, and keep it washed and waxed and it will allways look that way. I don't know how many miles you have on it, but you may have to have the timing belts replaced. It's about a 200 dollar job, but it's well worth it.

That's my tip for the day.

Christine is so old classic horror/thriller movie! I love it!

A friend of mine got 1962 Plymouth car, and he's still keeping it! His car is still running good all the time! But he has to fix some major problems with that engine and other stuffs like that. :?

That's how it usualy is with an older car, unless you completely overhaul it. Parts for some of those cars are also hard to find and in some cases have to be machined specialy.

$2,200 Pumpkin Man. And it was a great bargain for the price. My dad just changed a couple belts for me, I can't remember which ones it was.
I plan on keeping this car clean and the oil changed. It is high milage, but far as I know these engines are very strong and reliable.
It does have a few rust spots that need to be touched up, hopefully we can get that done and get it oiled before winter so it'll last me a long time. Where I live, they put all this salt and stuff on the roads, and it eats away at the metal like "cancer." At least, that's how my dad describes it, I'm not too fond of his choice of words however, seeing how I'm terrified of cancer.

They put salt n the roads here in Illinois, too. They have to, otherwise there would be a lot more accidents. I bought the car that I'm driving now brand new, and I have a rust spot on it already. It's only 5 years old. I also had a Ford Galaxis 500 that ran like a champ, but the body was so badly rusted out on one side I couldn't even open the door. I had to enter the car on the passenger side and scoot over to the stearing wheel.

I forgot to add one thing here.... my elder uncle has 1971 Cadillac Eldorado, and 1973 Lamborghini. Both cars were very good! I personally loved Lamborghini and Ferrari. :D

My dad just had to replace the brakes on it this weekend. 119 dollars...way more than I thought. I was ready to scream when I heard the price. But at least now it'll stop on a dime without me having to worry about them warping.
Unfortunately that's what was happening, my dad said the guy who had it before had the breaks changed but they started warping. Must be the mechanic did something wrong.
It's also had to have the coolant changed.
But other than that (and paying way more for gas) it's turned out to be a sweet ride. I kind of back slid on keeping it clean though. This summer I'll have to give it a good washing and waxing and a good vaccuum job and whiping out the interior. (too danged cold to do it now, and in the spring time I'll be busy with classes)
I plan to get some seat covers for it, probably something with cats on it to give it more of a "Mau" look.
