Never bungeed. I'm afraid of heights. Didn't use to be until I was almost in a plane collision but now I even have trouble standing on top of a mountain when I go snow skiing. Funny thing is, I can walk along scaffolding 50 feet in the air but only as long as I'm touching something. I guess I suppress the fear when I'm working?

It's not the fall, but landing
That will alter social standing....

I'm even worse then that NeverMore, I cant be in a tall building and look out the window. My wife and I were at the grand opening of the Stratosphere in LV and I couldnt leave the inner wall area.....there were people laying on the glass looking down.....I couldnt do it.....ladders, roofs, anything more then say 10ft off the ground......

I can do tall buildings, as long as there's something secure to hold on to. I could never
stand on the edge of a cliff, skydive or bungee jump. Anything like that.

heights have never really bothered me.... i did get a little nervous on my first snow boarding trip though! the steepness of the mountain was a little scary!!
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

Heights never bothered me either until the jet I was on had to do an evade and ditch to
keep from hitting another airplane. And I was sitting next to the window and saw the
whole thing. It was years before I could get on a plane again and even then I had a major
anxiety attack.

Oh my god!! That would do it to me!! I don't think I could get on a plane for awhile after, either!
I'm glad you came out okay.

LOL! My daily commute would paralyze the two of you!!
It's nothing but hairpin turns and endless switchbacks on a road that qualifies as a deer path at it's best.
I go from 2200' to sea level (and back) in about 15-20 minutes. Almost all of it is sheer cliff on one side or another with no guardrails whatsoever.
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

About ten years ago I was working in the desert which involved a commute exactly like
that.

One morning I was heading east when a car coming the other way came around a turn
and crossed the yellow line. I moved to the right just a bit but it was enough for my
right quarterpanel to hit a rock outcropping. This caused me to jam on my brakes which
sent me into a fishtail which caused me to go across the road straight toward the cliff.

Luckily, the edge of the road was a soft berm so my frame just sunk in when the front of
the truck went off the cliff. I sat there teetering on the edge just like you see in the
movies. When I got out the back of the truck was about head high. I could pull it back
down to the ground but there was no one else to drive the truck off the edge.

I walked down the street to find a phone to call a tow truck, when I got back there
were flares everywhere and cars pulled to the side but I didn't see anyone. Turned out
they were all at the bottom of the cliff looking for a body. They thought I stepped out of
the truck and fell to my death. It was about a 1000 foot drop.

I was just bummed out that my new truck had a big dent in it. My buddy said I should
have pushed it over the cliff and told the insurance guy I jumped clear.

Oh yeah... the guy that ran me off the road never stopped.
