ANN Pumpkin Carving Content posted

Some of them are pretty impressive. I thought the "projection" effect used by a couple of them was clever. They carved the pumpkin so that it would project an image behind it. I've never seen that done before.

Pumpkin Masters calls those shadow pumpkins. They had a whole book full of templates.

I would love to try those. It would definitely take a lot of practice!

Feel free to download the book. Print out the templates. Practice on a helium balloon.

yea i like when a pumpkin is carved in the back as well to give out wall shadows

I carve the lids in shapes that project onto the ceiling. A bat is my favorite.
