I didnt get as many pics as I wanted to but I did see a lot of chubby women with their goods all pushed up (and almost out in a few cases). I did take a pic of two girls in costume, not even sexy costumes really and they gave me an evil look so I figured I better not take any more of the non-actors, didnt want to get beat up or anything :) . here are a few pics of the fair.

This was a hearse parked in front of the haunted house, it wasnt really scary and they used a lot of off the shelf props, it was all static, nothing jumpped out or anything
Image

this was in one of the shops
Image

this was in part of the village, the whole park is 53 acres, I guess it's the largest Renaissance fair in the country
Image

I have no idea what this was, but it looked cool.....these two moved very slow and bowed a lot
Image

My daughter wanted to get "executed" for $1, so why not right? And the guy with the sign nailed it right on the head!
Image

this was where the barbarians hung out and I kept thinking "whats in your wallet!"
Image

Over all I had fun, it was a nice day, not hot not cold, saw some neat costumes including a few women in nothing but chain mail, and even a few clone troopers...

Is that you in that cool tee shirt, Spooky?
I love your pics! These are great!! The one of your daughter was really cute and the hearse. I love those old horse-driven ones.
That looks like it was a good time! :)
And the barbarians do remind me of that commercial!

Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame

Great pictures, Spooky!

If y'all like Renaissance Fairs, you really need to check out some of the Johnny Phoenix videos on YouTube. I haven't had a chance to sift through them yet to recommend just one. But for lots of us, he's the biggest attraction at these things. If any of you has a chance to see him, go. He has an interactive comedy routine, sometimes risque (he suits the level of his humor to the crowd; some of his shows are family friendly, some are more adult). And he incorporates lots of tricks with fire (fire-walking, fire-eating) when the venue permits it. He calls himself a "danger comedian." His professional background includes both improv comedy and Shakespearean acting.

It's been a while since I have seen Monty Python, so I can't quote along with you.

I missed the fair this year, usually I go. I got stuck working for someone so they could go.

Yeah, I don't know why, but I didn't make it to the Maryland RenFest this year. Oh well. There's always next year.

Love the pics, Spooky!
