What is your favorite hot dogs from outside of the store? Who is your best hot dog vendor? What do they have everything on it?


For me, I picked Tony Jr's Hot Dogs just outside from across the street just by The Original Tony's Hot Dogs restaurant! Tony Jr's has its best crispy onion and chili than the ones inside the restaurant! Of course, I do love New York style hot dogs!!!
That hot dog comes with mustard, onion, and chili only - but where's the ketchup??? That's strange! Mostly hot dogs do come with mustard, ketchup, onion, chili, cheese and relish!


BTW, do you think hot dogs up there in NY the best?? Yeah, I think so!

I'd have to say that my favorites come from a little cart outside of the main post office in downtown San JOse, CA.

I don't know why, they are just really tasty.

I prefer ketchup, mustard, chili, and onions! I really can't tell why because I love my way! Guess that explains the "Frog Dog" in the movie THE HARD WAY.

Have you ever tried Chicago-style dogs before? For me, I've never tried this one, but would love to!

If that's the one with sauerkraut then yes.

Ohh, yeah... I heard about that sauerkraut on hot dogs before - but I've never tasted it either! Is it good or not???


Anyways, have you seen Michael J. Fox and James Wood in the movie "The Hard Way" where they stopped by eating hot dogs and fries from the outside vendor FROG DOG? Did you like that movie? Yeah, I liked it!! It's good movie! It's part of comedy/violence drama!

I have some hot dog vendors out here in Norfolk.... some are Good, some are Bad... some are No Good!


I do love hot dogs all the way with mustard, onions and chili. No ketchup, no saukerfaust, no may, anything like that, you know? Also, I do love New York Hot Sausage with same all the way.

Man Hot Dog vendors deserve props and they are an amaerican tradition. I wouldnt want to live in a nation the did away with them.

Two restaurants come to mind. Whistle Stop, which is or at least was located in the Orland Square mall in Orland Park Ill. They made the best Chicago Style hot dog I ever tasted in my life. A very close 2nd place to that is Babe's Hot Dogs on Jefforson Street on the West side of Joliet Ill. You can get Jumbo or regular sized, and they steam then Chicago style and the flavor can't be beat.

The quality of a hot dog depends on two things. The quality of the brand, and the way it's cooked. A steamed "Chicago Style" hot dog, IMHO is going to be the best IMHO. Vienna, Best Kosher and Oscar Meyer are the best brands for steaming or grilling. I love them both ways. A good quality bun is another element to a great hot dog. Finaly, the condiments. That's pretty much a matter of personal taste, but you are better off going with name brand condiments, rather then the cheap generic brands.

By the way, a lot of people, myself included, sort of believe in an unwritten law against putting kastup on a hot dog after the age of nine, Musterd, Pikle relligh, chopped onions and perhaps a tiny touch of horseradish, along with some thinly sliced cucumbers and a hint of tomatos.

Grilled or Steamed Chicago style, you just can't beat it.

For my money, nothing beats a grilled hotdog. Straight up with mustard!

I like both steamed and grilled, but I like it fairly plane......a little mustard and some Parmesan cheese, thats it....
