My Pictures from Camp Crystal Lake

Post by Spooky » Wed Sep 26, 2007 4:34 pm

I had the coolest weekend, last weekend. I had to tell everyone what happened.

I went to the town where the movie Friday the 13th was filmed, and I went to visit one of my best friends, who is a huge fan of the movie, I am friends with Adrienne King, and she called us that night, after we were at the camp, we talked to Adrienne...then we watched the movie.

It was the coolest thing ever.

Next year, in October, Adrienne King will be coming to my Bed N Breakfast to do a promotional thing for me for Halloween, and it will be on her official website and on the Friday the 13th site, so anyone that is a fan of the movie...come see us, we'll be giving away copies of the movie signed by Adrienne....and you can get your photo taken with her and she'll be signing stuff for people, for a fee, but there will be no admission to come here...and we'll be giving out free stuff too, so it will be a blast.

This is the diner that Steve Christie is in, where he's talking to the waitress, and you see it raining:

This is from the very beginning scene, when "Annie" is walking through the town:

Then you see a scene where Annie is walking through here:

Very Cool. The town is in NJ right? What's the name of the town?

I am ashamed to say that I have still not seen Friday the 13th..... at least, I haven't recently....... so I can't fully appreciate the relevance of these photos - BUT I do think they are beautiful and it looks like a really atmospheric place! I'm glad you had a good time there :)

Those photos are great! I loved Friday the 13th 1 and 2...not really big on slasher movies, but I like a few, and the first two movies had a nice feeling to them.

If there's one thing I love love love, it's photos of locations where special movie scenes were shot. There's a page somewhere with photos of locations used for "Night of the Living Dead" and one for "Phantasm"...I even found one with photos of locations used in "Xanadu," but let's not talk about that. ;)

Thanks Spooky, I thought it looked familiar, I've been there many times. It's about 15 miles from my home.

Hey, if you can like "Xanadu" and "Friday the 13th," you have well-rounded entertainment tastes. ;)

Rosie-Have you ever been to Penn's Peak? That's where I was last Friday night, I went to see the 70's band "Orleans" in concert, We went to Jim Thorpe, PA- I found some awesome Halloween decorations in the shops downtown, it was so much fun.
How far are you from there?
