SPEED RACERS MACH 5 VS THE ORIGINAL BATMOBILE (ADAM WEST)

Hi Folks:

It's a long way to Halloween, and I was a little bored, so I thought I would ask the following question:

If Speed Racer in the Mach 5 were to race Batman (Adam West) in the original tv series Batmobile, who would win? To keep things interesting, the race course will be the entire length of Old Route 66, from Chicago Illinois to Santa Barbara California.

Please explain your answers. Since I started this little discussion, I'll go first.

First of all, let's look at the drivers. Speed Racer is more experienced and is, in fact, a professional racer, however, Batman has had to chase many a criminal through the streats of Gotham City. I would say that Batman and Speed Racer have close to equal skille, all though I think Speed is just a little ahead on racing skills.

Now let's look at the cars. The Mach 5 is very powerful and has a lot of gadgets. It can be driven under water. It can jump, and has all kinds of advantages that the batmobile doesn't have. However, the Batmobile is powered by a small jet engine, and while the gadgetry of the Batmobile is designed more for crime fighting then for racing, the car itself has much more horse power.

For that reason, I am going to say that Batman will win, but by a very narrow lead.

Whad do you all say?

I see it being nose to nose at the finish line then Batman hits the ejection seat and propels himself across the line without the car.

Chuck Norris, a.k.a. Walker Texas Ranger, drove a Dodge Ram pick up truck. The Ram is a great truck, but it's no match for the powerful Mach 5 or the Batmobile.

But what about Racer X? 'Cause Speed will do something ill considered and get himself stranded in the middle of the race. Then out of nowhere, Racer X (who is in no way related to Rex Racer) will show up and bail him out just this once. So if he were to win, it would be partially because Racer X helped him out. On a side note, am I the only person who actually liked the live action movie?

That's a good point, ScarecrowJack. Racer X has pulled Speed Racer out of a lot of jams, but since Batman is the hero type, he would probably do the same thing.

As for the live action "Speed Racer" movie, I did see it in the theatre, and it was an okay 'pop corn' movie that was entertaining enough, but not what I would call a classic. I mean, let's face it. The tv series had a lot of seens and events taking place that defy the laws of physics. The live action movie was a little more down to earth, but it was also boring in some spots.

The Chuck Norris spinning wheel kick causes him to travel faster than the speed of light.

Chuck Norris is so fast that he frequently time travels. Paleontologists found a mass grave of dinosaurs once and noticed they had all been killed with a size 12 cowboy boot kick to the head. The scientists are at a total loss as to how this could have happened. But we dang sure know!

Batman wears Chuck Norris pajamas to bed.

Speed Racer dreams of being beaten up by Chuck Norris. Its his biggest wish.

Actualy, in one of my favorite tv shows, "Walker Texas Ranger," Chuck Norris drives a Dodge Ram pick-up truck which is pretty cool. It can't compare to the Batmobile or the Mach 5, but it's a nice truck. I had a Dodge Ram, myself back in 04, but I had to trade it in for a vehicle that gets better gas milage.

Captain Kirk follows Chuck Norris around just hoping to get the women Chuck throws away.

Mr Spock got 8th degree burns when he tried to use the Vulcan Mind Meld on Chuck Norris.

Chuck Norris has such a logical mind that he made Mr Spock cry like a baby and then made him sit in the corner and suck his thumb.

You know the reason Captain Picard is bald? Chuck Norris beat Picard so bad in Texas Hold 'Em Poker that Picard had to sell his hair so he could pay Chuck the money he owed him.

The winning hand Chuck held during that game was...a Joker, a Green Number 4 Uno card, a 1968 Topps Baseball card of Al Kaline , a 2 of Clubs, and a Monopoly Get Out of Jail Free card.

Btw....Chuck IS RIGHT about the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
