Did we really land on the moon?

Post by NeverMore » Wed Sep 07, 2011 12:14 pm

.
For you naysayers out there, NASA has new photos of the moon. They clearly show the landing sites of Apollos 12, 14 and 17.

The only question remaining... are those photos fake? Also, why no photos of the Apollo 18 landing site? Maybe the movie is true?

Very simply, YES, the Apollo 11 DID land on the moon, as did the subsequent others, and THERE WAS NO Apollo 18. That was just a movie.

I have relatives (in-laws) who work for NASA, pretty high up. Yes, we for sure did land on the moon.

I don't know why people still think we didn't land on the moon. Everything I've seen and read have convinced me so far that we have.

Well, I must respectfully but very strongly disagree with you on that one, Nevermore. There's NO WAY such an elaborate hoax could ever be carried out. It would actualy be easier to put a man on the moon then it would be to hood wink the entire world like what is perported by these 'conspiracy theorists."

We DID land on the moon, and there was NO Apollow 18.

Oh... I never said I believed in the conspiracy, I was just pointing out that there are people that do. There are also people who believe the Earth is flat, that Elvis is still alive, and that intelligent beings actually live on this planet.

Hey, to each his own. I actualy saw Neil Armstrong walk on the moon in July of 69. On July 24th of 1969, my 9th Birthday, they spashed down back to Earth. I remember how we all excitedly were glued to our 19 inch Black & White all Vaccume Tube television the day that happened. I was only a little kid at the time, but it was then that the realization dawned on me that real history was made by my country. My father even set up his camera on a tri pod and actualy took photos of the tv screen just as Armstrong stepped out of the Lunar module and became the very first human being in known history to set foot on another planet.

On a side note, yes, it was my father who inspired my interest in photography that would lead to me doing it professionaly as an adult. He was THE main shutter bug of the family, and when I say "shutter bug," I mean he took stills, and 16mm movies of us all growing up. He did not do it professionaly, but when he showed me a 16mm movie of me and my sister hanging our stockings that previous Christmas, I was totaly entranced.

A tourist at Graceland is visiting Elvis Presley's grave and all of a sudden he hears some music. No one is around, so he starts searching for the source.

He finally locates the origin and finds it is actually coming from the grave itself! Then he realizes that the music is the song 'All Shook Up' and it is being played backward! Puzzled, he leaves the graveyard and persuades a friend to return with him.

By the time they arrive back at the grave, the music has changed. This time it is 'Love me Tender', but like the previous piece, it is being played backward.

Curious, the men agree to consult a music scholar. When they return with the expert, the song 'Don't be Cruel' is playing, again backward. The expert notices that the songs are being played in the reverse order in which they were composed, 'All Shook Up', 'Love me Tender', then 'Don't be Cruel'.

By the next day the word has spread and a throng has gathered around the grave. They are all listening to 'Heartbreak Hotel' being played backward.

Just then the groundskeeper ambles up to the group. Someone in the crowd asks him if he has an explanation for the music.

"Oh, it's nothing to worry about" says the caretaker. "He's just decomposing!"
