I carved 97 pumpkins and my oldest daughter carved 7 pumpkins. I also carved 9 wedding pumpkins. We were haunted scarecrows this year.
Look at my web site below to see four years of pumpkin carvings.

WOW! How long did it take to carve all of those? I carved a couple and it took a while.
Do you cut all the way through or just take off the outer skin?
I have done it both ways.
I really admire your love for Halloween!!

I know that's lots of pumpkins to carve!
And, I do remember "pumpkinwoman" is also a member on Haunted Bay Forum.

I can only do carve 2 or 3 pumpkins every year. Over 100 pumpkins - too much work for me!

I take one entire day to gut all the pumpkins. I take another entire day to draw on all of the pictures. I then take another entire day, 8am to 2am, to carve them all. I carve them out. I do not scrape the skin. I take another day to put up the display and the haunted yard.
My two daughters, 19 and 18, help set things up. My oldest carved 7 pumpkins.
I have done this for about 20 years. I love carving but I hate gutting the pumpkins. My arm is all cut up and bruised when I am done.

Sounds like you are pumpkin lover, pumpkinwoman!
Or, should I say Jack-O-Lantern Lover?

Does anyone grow all of there own pumpkins?
I have been growing all of my own for the last two years. I could not believe the price of a single pumpkin at a pumpkin patch this year. I was glad I had my own garden. It takes up quite a bit of room but its worth it in the end.

I have several people who donated pumpkins. I purchased 50 of them from an Amish family for a $1.25 a piece. I don't have a big space to grow my own. I wish I did.
