It seems posting is slow going. Is it Halloween Burnout? Individual circumstances?

No burn-out here, just busy-ness.

It does seem slow here considering how close it is to Halloween.

I've been busy too, but one of the projects I'm busy working on is the photo study I dod of the abandoned Hill Top drive-in movie theatre. My plan, however is to post them in the " off topic " threads, as it's not a "haunted" place where some diabolical thing went on. It's just a drive in movie theatre, but like most abandoned places, there is some creepieness to it. At any rate, they should be posted some time this week.

Just my suggestion. Go ahead and post it in Haunted Places and in the title post (Hauntings are presumed based on facts). You get more eyeballs into Haunted places than you will into an off topic area.

Nope! It's just that football and deer hunting season have started up. This is why fall is the best time of the year. So much to do!!!!

LOL
Fall is absolutely the best. We have been attending both high school & college football games, and we are very busy adjusting to a new schedule. Our second son started college this fall, but he is living at home, so his schedule is now quite different from what it was when he was still in high school. And our daughter is being driven crazy by busy-work projects at her high school. Our older son & I will be leaving for a long weekend in CA in early Oct., a trip to see family, so preparations for that are cutting into Halloween prep.
I have been reading Halloweenish stories--just finished Jekyll & Hyde, am getting into Dracula. Both of those I read when I was about 12, but this is the first time I have returned to the originals in decades.

Hahahaha! Nice. I live in a small tourist town. Plenty of woods and hills around....

That was good advice, Nastalgiscape, but unfortunately I already posted them in the Off Topic section, partialy because I was also making a plea for another drive-in movie theatre that's still opened, but is faced with being put out of business if they don't rais enough money to upgrade to digital projection.

Ok. While I may not agree. I respect your decision on that.

No burnout here either... I just don't have time. I'm on a jury for a 3 week trial... bleh. By the time I get home, I'm so tired I just go to sleep.
... I am also learning lots of things I didn't want to know about my neighborhood...
Fun times.
I have been doing some Halloween shopping now that stores FINALLY have their Halloween out!!! Whee! Still haven't started the costume yet because I have no idea how big I'll be by late October...
