No Halloween on the High Seas in Disney Cruise Line this year. Always a fun time previous years.

Oh, sad. However, I wouldn't think many people are taking cruises right now. They are petri dishes in the best of times.

People in my neighborhood are starting to put their Halloween decorations up. I expect door to door TOT to thrive this year. It is outside, and everyone masks, anyway. The perfect holiday for times like these.

A sea cruise would be a great place to spend Halloween. There's no end to all the ghost legends of the high seas. I always wanted to go on a sea cruise. It doesn't look like I'll be doing that any time soon, however.

At any rate, Halloween at NY HOUSE, will be celebrated with barbecues, loud records, ToT candy and horror films.

Are you seeing a dearth of pumpkins this year? I haven't seen many for sale so far.

Kroegers and Walmart has pumpkins and Halloween decorations out for sale right now, and will likely increas as it grows closer to the 'big day.' The Dollar Store is already selling Christmas decorations if you can believe that. Right in the middle of all the Halloween items, is a display of Christmas tree lights, Christmas gift wrap and a few Santa Clause figures.

The sad part is that by mid October it might be MAINLY CHRISTMAS, with a few Halloween items scattered about here and there.

Our Kroger has artificial pumpkins, but only two smallish bins of real pumpkins and gourds. No sugar pumpkins at all in produce. Walmart so far has none at all, no real ones, I mean.

Well you might want to give it some time, Murf. After all, it is only September 15th, which means we have 15 more days left of September, and the Fall Equinox isn't until a week from today so it's technically not even Fall yet. I'm sure you will see more pumpkins and other Halloween decorations out as the next 15 days progress.

I just happen to be lucky where I live.

Publix and Trader Joe’s here have stuff out.

This was TJ’s today. Plus TJ Halloween cookies, which I didn’t buy.

We are seeing Halloween decorations for sale, just hardly any pumpkins. But I checked, and the crop is supposed to be good this year, so I guess I'm just impatient.

The thing is, all the pumpkins disappear on Nov 1, which I think is stupid, since Thanksgiving is a pumpkin holiday, too. But they give you only a few weeks to buy them.

The very last year I had Thanksgiving at my house, I had the most beautiful, perfectly shaped pumpkin on my dining room table that I ever saw in my life. I originally got it for Halloween, but I decided to save it for Thanksgiving, and I'm not sorry I did, because it actually held up through Christmas. My niece actually painted it and put glitter on it and made it into a giant Christmas ornament when I had my Christmas Tree Trimming party that same year.

I finally did have to get rid of it on New Years Day, however as it did start to get rotten, and the holidays were over.

I'm still not seeing sugar pumpkins for sale, and the canned pumpkin is almost gone, too. What gives?

Our store us piled high with watermelons! I guess you could carve a watermelon.

We did have a dry spell this Summer. Pumpkins often suffer during a drought situation. Perhaps they have to find pumpkins.
