One of the Best Halloweens Ever

Post by mamawof2 » Fri Sep 14, 2007 11:08 am

When my daughter was 7 she had been in a severe accident and after being in a body cast she was finally in a wheelchair, till she could learn to walk again. Well Halloween was fast approaching and she was so afraid she would not get to go Trick or Treating. Which was my fear too, cause we live in a place where most houses are on hills. My hubby decided to take that night off and push her around till he tired out. To our surprise we had another friend who showed up to help push her around, he also had a truck that her chair fit in perfectly. By the nights end she and all her friends were loaded down with candy. She now recalls that Halloween night every year as her best Halloween ever.

I agree. That is certainly a great story.
Because once you cross that bridge, my friend, the ghost is through, his power ends.

Your welcome. I know how it always made me feel to know there are people who care that much about a kid trick or treating, so I thought I'd share.

Awesome story...how great that she could remember that particular Halloween (after the accident and all the tough recovery) with fondness. Thanks for sharing!
