Re: It is finally Fall!
A couple of pix from the weekend.
My favorite tree; it got a serious pruning last winter but it paid off.
I've never seen it produce acorns in the 16 years that I known it.
this year they're everywhere and a perfect golden color.

dont ya hate that!? I hate it when I walk through one of those big spiders webs, they dont break as easily as smaller spiders and they're more sticky and just....ARGHH!Murfreesboro wrote:![]()

Around here, that is actually true. We have been invaded (outdoors) by big fat brown spiders that spin these orb webs all over the place. Beautiful, except that they frequently stretch them across walkways to the mailbox, around the porch, etc.
And you have no idea if the spider is on you or not! Here in Texas those tree spiders are HUGE! like 4-6" across sometimes

Ours aren't that big, maybe a 1/2 inch to 1 inch fat body, legs usually close to the body. My husband says they are brown widows, so they are shaped more like black widows, only a little bigger. And supposedly they aren't dangerous, or as dangerous, as black widows. And their webs are gorgeous, not disorganized and ugly like the black widow webs.

It was defiently interesting but overall it was very enjoyable! I loved how they connected all the stories together in the end and there were some twists that I could never predict. Overall it was a great movie and I am glad I took a chance on it and added it to my collection.

I just can't wait until next Halloween,
'Cause I've got some new ideas
that will really make them scream!
And, by God, I'm really gonna give it all my might!

As always, I am in awe of your ability with photography. Those are beautiful captures. Love them.
For me, last weekend was Ghoultide, picked up two new pieces, will post pictures when I get some, and have the indoor decorations out. Need to work on the outside soon, but we've been having rain for the past few days.

We're the farmer's scarecrows
We scare away the birds,
We keep the farmer's corn safe
Without any words.
But when Halloween comes
We jump out of the ground
And we scare the boys and girls
When they come walking 'round.

Without any words.
