I went through all my Halloween decorations again last night after I got home from work. I tested all my lights, and they all work. Everything is ready to go, all I have to do is hang them, which I will be doing late next month after I do my Halloween cleaning.

Re: To Decorate Or Not To Decorate
Good luck to all the job hunters!
I would vote for putting out decorations a bit at a time, but I don't think I'd start until after Labor Day.

I've been in all aspects of Aviation Administration for 26 years. Mostly government contract, but some corporate. My last job I had for 10 years and had hoped it would get me to retirement. Alas...not to be.
Be afraid....be very afraid!

Re: To Decorate Or Not To Decorate
Murf, I usualy don't actualy put any Halloween decorations up until long after Labor day, 1, because that's my "last chance" for a Summer Barbecue with my friends, and 2. I like to tidy up the house a bit before I put up Halloween. I will be putting everything up on the 28th or 29th of Sept, and I will be carving my first jack o'lantern on the 1st of Oct, though.
Morticia, all transportation systems, with the possible exception of interstate trucking, are in trouble. The airlines industry, in particular, is suffering because of all the rigum-a-role they put their customers through with all the over booking and the like. That was before the 9/11 attacks. I have not flown comercialy since November of 91, and never will, unless I have to attend a funeral or cross an ocean, because of all the grief Pan Am and others gave me. The "last straw" was in Nov of 91, when it took for ever for Midway Airlines to get us onboard the plane, and then when we were down in Florida, they declared bankruptcy and we were all left stranded. But of all the experiences I had, Pan Am was the worst. They delayed my flight, lost my luggage, and screwed up my rerout and it ended up taking me more time to get home then if I had driven.
So I pretty much opt for the car or the motorcycle when I take a trip. Some times I take the Amtrak, but unless absolutely necessary, I will NEVER fly again on any comercial airline. I'm sorry you lost your job and your career in aviation administration, but I just can't stand the way they jerk people around at the air port these days.
