They could trademark it as 'Shock and Awe' and I'd bet people would pay to see it.

I would.

I enjoy watching fireworks go off, but not nearly as much as I LOVE lighting fireworks off. Lighting those wicks is 99% of the fun for me. Smoke bombs, fire crackers, display items, you name it. If it has wick, I want to light it off.

When it comes to fireworks, yes. I'm like a child in a toy store with a 100 dolar bill.

NeverMore, Kansas City still has trollies? Are they actual electric streat cars that run on a track or are they just busses made up to look like a trolly? In other words, a "jolly trolly." That would be a fun trip.

I don't know if Kansas City has trolleys but San Diego does. That's what we call our light train service. When I referred to the Kansas City BBQ I was talking about the restaurant where the bar scenes in Top Gun were filmed. I stopped there after our failed fireworks and had a couple beers.

Very interesting, Nevermore. Do these "light trains" actualy run on a track on the street?

Speaking of trollies, my dad use to tell me some wild stories about the electric trolly cars that use to run the streets of Chicago. A friend of his got a hold of these "railroad torpedos." They where placed on the track as a warning to locomotive engineers that they are entering a speed restricted zone of track. Anyway, my das and his friends decided that it would be a really funny joke if they were to place some of these "railroad torbedos" on the trolly tracks, and the explosion caused the trolly to be derailed.

Yeah... they're a lot like NYC's subway, or the 'L' in Chicago, or the cable cars up in San Fran... except they are powered by electricity supplied from a line above the train. No chance of someone stumbling on the third rail, though non-attentive people do get hit by it from time to time. You can buy a day pass and hop on and off all you like. Good way to see some of the town without driving. Very good way to get downtown and to the border.

Looks like fun. I am a bit of a railroad buff.

My computer crashed in late June, so I've been off the 'net for a while. Our 4th of July was very subdued, because we are having a drought and no one was supposed to light personal fireworks or even grill outside. However, we did have a very nice municipal fireworks display that evening.
