What do you like to decorate with? That bucket of blood?

animatronics

Post by Pumpkin56 » Mon Sep 19, 2011 2:25 pm

So what does everyone think about animatronic props? I've always stayed away from them because I found them kind of noisy and annoying and they just didn't go with my graveyard. This year however, I'm doing a haunted pumpkin patch and I kinda like this one from Spirit:

I don't know why, but this one kind of speaks to me :)

I guess I'm curious to know if anyone who uses animated props can tell me about their experience with them. Do they hold up well or are they fragile? Is the sound usually okay or does it get a little grating after awhile? Are they a pain to store during the rest of the year?

Sold! I have a 20% coupon for Spirit so as soon as they open, he's coming home with me!!

I also think I may attempt to recreate Pumpkinrot's pumpkin sentinels. Those things are just too awesome and I think I just might be able to do it.

I really wish that someone would make an animatronic of the werewolf from American Werewolf in London. And it would also have to make the exact sound that it does in the movie. To me, that one is still the best.

I don't use any animatronics. I do like them though & one day plan on getting one. I just haven't found the right one yet. :)

That Scarecrow is awesome though! :D
