Always make sure you check the bottle before administering eye drops. The elderly are particularly at risk. Andy, I'm looking in your direction....

I'll never forget the time my yonger sister was working with a tube of super glue and it exploded in her face. She was not seriously injured, but her had a lot of difficulty seeing for a few days. It was painful to see her groping around because of the temporary blindness that she suffered. I drove her to the eye doctor and they were able to help her some, but fo the most part it took the better part of 3 days for the glue to "sluff" off.

It's allways a good idea to wear some kind of eye protection when working with chemicals like that. The vapors alone can cause eye iritation.
