WWII as seen through modern photos

Someone superimposed old photos from WWII over modern pictures from the same point of view and posted them. It's a neat effect...and somewhat spooky.

Spooky, it's a new topic so you didn't miss it by much...

Mac, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay at the bottom of the post there are some from Victorian era postcards as well. Gettysburg would be excellent.

I'd imagine he took an old photo, set up his camera in the same location, and took his snaps. That's something I think I could do. I'm not so great at the photoshopping bit, though. Still, I'm gonna try.

I imagine he used the erase tool with the blurred edges and just wiped away what he wanted and exposed the WWII image under the modern era image layer

And line up a handful of points, like the corners of buildings and landmarks, and stretch or distort them to stitch them seamlessly
