Think what might be playing on the Hi-Fi in the background during a Stepford barbecue.

Currently my favorite band is Muse. I can listen to them all the time. Matt Bellamy's voice is so beautiful ... I hope he never gets any throat problems! And they're awesome musicians.

I'm with you on AC/DC. And if the B-52's are on the radio, I wouldn't turn 'em off.

I'm pretty much a child of the 70s, but a lot of the music I love came out in the 60s and even the 50s. Of course, I'm an ex trombone player, and if there's one think my high school band master gave me, it's a deepened love and appreciation for any good music. Believe it or not, I will also listen to classics like Thicovsky, Beethoven or Mozart. I also love a lot of the Jazz work by Henry "Hank" Mancini, and Big Band like Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman or Artie Shaw. But my main musical love came from the "Top 40" era, which is mainly the 60s and 70s. There wer a lot of great t unes in the 80s and 90s, but nothing like the songs of my childhood or adelesence.

Needed to add some...

Give me some Rock, Some Blues and some Metal...

I like groups from the 60's all the way up to today but most of my musical tastes are from the 70's and 80's...ZEPPELIN!!! The Doors, Hendrix, Clapton, Van Halen, Judas Priest, Scorpions, Maiden, Black Sabbath, Ozzy, DIO, AC/DC but add the Blues to it as well, BB King, Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and many more...

Spinning fast, you've got to ride it well
The world is full of kings and queens
Who blind your eyes and steal your dreams
Its heaven and hell, oh well

Mignight Shadow: You would LOVE Johnathin Mayles and the Blues Breakers. Their album (or CD rather ) "Chicago Line" is still one of my personal favs.

You also mentioned "The Doors." They actualy started in the late 60s, with "Light my Fire." I think that song was out in either 67 or 68. I remember listening it to the radio in my brother's then brand new Ford Custom. It was just a regular AM radio, but there was a lot of music ont he radio back then.

The Cars, who were very popular in the 80s "New Wave" movement, actualy debuted with a lot of other New Wavers and Punk Rockers in 1978 with the song "Just What I Needed." I have all of their albums, two of them on Vinal, but most on CD.
