Costume Help?

I'm looking to make a suit of armour with a jacket for my Halloween costume. Any ideas for what material to use for the armour, and a way to make a simple jacket without spending a lot?

Use some kind of thin plastic that shines. Where to bag that is anyone guess. You're going to have to be resourceful.

What about making a duct-tape suit of armour?

The only other thing that might me inexpensive would be tin foil and cardboard.... but that's just not as fun =)
