Merry Christmas

I hope everyone has been enjoying the holiday season so far.
My grandaunt will be trying to visit most of the family for the holidays this year, she is 97 and currently the oldest person in our family, but thankfully she is fully independent and capable of getting around, and her memory is still sharp. We usually go to visit her in Florida but the pandemic stopped us from doing that the past few years, and now she isn't sure how long she has so she wants to spend her time getting to know her great grandkids.
Other than that, life has been very busy recently but I can't complain, the restaurant has been doing record business this holiday season and it's going great.
On a side note, I have a small part in a play this Tues. I will be playing Fezziwig in A Christmas Carol, so hopefully I don't mess up my lines.
How about the rest of you? Anybody doing anything for the holidays?
Well, I just want to wish Mike, Andy, and everyone else here a Merry Christmas. Stay safe and healthy, and enjoy the season.

Merry Christmas to you and yours as well!
I'm still in a learning curve since retiring this year.
Calendars clocks and schedules rule our lives from day one, and when those are no longer in play it leaves you scratching your head for ways to fill the time.
Christmas prep has been a great distraction.
There are 3 trees in the livingroom, and every empty space is subject to scrutiny.
My favorite project was turning what was a perfectly nice tinsel tree into what is now for all intents and purposes, an upside-down chandelier.
It has clear twinkling lights and several yards of crystal roping and teardrops at the top of each swag.
When the afternoon sun hits it it's spectacular.

Whoa! Your decorations are even better than last year, they look amazing. I just showed my wife the pictures and she agrees, her favorite is the chandelier tree.
I know you're going to laugh when I say this, but my favorite decoration is actually the shower curtain, it just gives you a festive feeling. By the way, what's with the Santa? It looks like someone made the naughty list.

Those are popularly known as 'angry Santas'.
They originated in Germany, go figure, as candy containers or toys.
I have wanted one for some time and found him a few months ago.
Yes, the shower curtain makes me smile too.

Thanks Andy, and the same to you and your family. Let's hope that it picks up around here next year.

These are indeed fabulous indoor decorations! A couple of them (including the shower curtain) won't show up on my phone, for some reason. But the chandelier tree is a beauty!
Eta: I take it back! They all loaded! Yes, that shower curtain is amazing!

It was a happy accident when I chose that one.
I wear compression socks that can't go in he dryer, so the hang from the curtain rod to dry, and they blend in perfectly with the shower curtain!

I guess you switch it out when the holidays are over? That's a funny image, your real stockings blending with the painted ones!

Yep. For spring there is an opaque white curtain with blossoming cherry branches in the shower and blue & white toille in the bedroom.
