Re: Catching up

I hope that she enjoyed the trip and the play. Please tell your daughter that your imaginary friend sends belated birthday wishes to her.

By the way, if she looks at you like you're crazy, and she will, just tell her that anybody can have a imaginary friend regardless of their age.

Re: Catching up

Do I see a Hurst quick shift on the floor?

Yes, I'm surprised that you noticed it. As far as I know, this car wasn't ever used for racing, at least it hasn't been since Marcelo purchased it back it the 70s, though I suppose that it's possible that it could have been raced by a previous owner ...

Re: Catching up

I haven't been able to access the forums for a few days, I thought it was a issue with incoming traffic, but it might have been a issue with the browser that I was using. I finally tried 2 other browsers and they both let me access the forum again, so I should have tried them earlier.

This is ...

Re: Catching up

Murf, please don't ever shut up, I enjoy your commentary too much. :D

Well, I tried to post one more thing, but I lost it.

I recently mentioned this in another thread, but you should always copy the full text of your posts before you click the button to make your post, so if something happens ...

Re: Catching up

It sounds to me like Phoebe has extraordinary kinesthetic intelligence

I just looked up kinesthetics, and it does sound exactly like how she's described her experience to us. It's a interesting topic, I bookmarked the page and I'll go back to read it later.

He decided that academic ...

Re: Catching up

Marvin! Uh, I mean Andy! Welcome back. :D

Wait, wait, wait, I know this is a little personal, but you mentioned it, did you say that you had cataracts? You're still young, how did you get them in the first place, and why would you need to replace the lenses? Aren't they supposed to last for as ...

Re: Catching up

I've wondered if we're just too dull for Andy.

Hopefully he's fine, he's probably just been bingeing on shows like last time.

Of course, the last time he was gone this long the forum stopped functioning and we couldn't access threads or make posts. Maybe the forum and Andy are in a ...

Re: Catching up

You never need to apologize to me for your posts. I love reading them.

Thank you, Murf.

Man, thankfully the good Lord above was watching over you and your kids though your pregnancies. Around here, there's no such thing as TMI. The stories we share here are a part of us and they make us who we ...

Re: Catching up

I think that as a parent you often forget that while you create your kids and bring them into this world, they are their own unique person and they will carve their own path in this life.

Sure, there are some kids that follow after their parents, some of them will even carry on through generations ...

Re: Catching up

Thanks Murf. :)

Phoebe started doing gymnastics and martial arts at age 3, and she got good at both extremely fast, and by age 4 she was already doing demonstrations, performances, and competitions. Of course, when she started competing in martial arts she was going against kids that were up to 7 ...

Re: Catching up

Yes, she flips forward fast and drives the heel of her foot into their shoulders. I've seen the kids she trains with buckle over in pain when she hits that move, and some of them say that their arm goes numb on the side that she hit, so it's a very effective way to incapacitate her opponents. Of ...

Re: Catching up

I've been training with Phoebe in the evenings, and I tell you, she hits HARD for a little 8 year old kid. You wouldn't think that somebody that small with skinny arms and legs would have that much impact behind her hits but she does.

She's also developed a new move with her instructors that she ...

Re: Catching up

Allow me to clarify, when I say a full beard that includes the area above the mouth. When I said that I don't like moustaches, I was referring specifically to the guys that only grow a moustache and don't have any other facial hair, like Burt Reynolds. That look has always annoyed me.

Starting next ...

Re: Catching up

but when they get called off that close to the ceremony, you figure something dramatic must have happened.

That's probably true, it's usually the bride finding out that the guy cheated on her, but don't know and don't care ... free cake for everybody!

Regarding beards, I could grow a full beard ...
